Zavhy is an applied research company, which aims at supporting the present architecture engineering and construction industry (AEC) with a digitized and automated technology of 3D concrete printing. The company focuses on transforming the current AEC industry with this novel technology and provide an opportunity for the industry to bring disruptive changes in its existing supply chain. The issues with the current AEC industry, related to sustainability, environmental impact, labour productivity, health and safety of workers, and overall low productivity of the industry are few critical issues Zavhy as a company sets to address and tackle for the AEC industry through 3DCP technology.

Projects
Zavhy's current R&D projects focus on developing hardware and software solutions for 3DCP technology. These solutions focus on solving the fundamental needs of the 3DCP technology related to reinforcement, introducing aggregates and additives to printed concrete, and developing systems for quality control. We believe that solving these issues is crucial for the maturity of the 3DCP technology and will help scale up the technology for its application in large-scale construction projects.
Zavhy and two industrial partners, Van Beek and TBRM ES are developing a system to introduce fibres and additives into printed concrete to improve its mechanical properties in 3DCP structures. The project is funded by OPZuid, EUROPESE UNIE and Ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat.TU/e is a knowledge partner in this project and supports it with research and know-how.
